Room 8 & 12 Gardening
Yesterday we went to check out our garden with Rm 8 - our buddy class. We found carrots, peas, sunflowers and strawberries that had grown over the summer holidays.

Buddy Oral Language - Show and Tell
On Tuesday Mrs Rolton demonstrated what our
Oral Language - Show and Tell would like.
She also explained what skills we need and information we need to share with our audience when it is our turn to share our Show and Tell item.
Next Week Jesse and Sapphire will share their Show and Tell at Oral Language time.

The New Look Golden Time
This year we have a 25min Golden Time every Friday. To secure yourself a 25min spot at Golden Time you must have a Popcorn Pass (previously known as a Green Card) in your hand at the end of each day during the week.
If you are unfortunate to not have a Popcorn pass at the end of the day you loose 5mins from your 25min Golden Time. So the moral of the story is make good choices every day at school and receive your 25mins each week. Otherwise you loose time and have to watch others having all the fun.
Last week all Rm 12 students received a 25min Golden Time, during this time they had fun with handball, charades, beach towel games, making foot bags and the very popular Sing Star - Rm 12 Style.

ClassDojo tracking Gotcha Slips
This year Rm 12 is using ClassDojo to track and calculate our Gotcha slips. When you have been caught showing Respect, Responsibility and Honesty you receive a Gotcha slip.
This year these slips are calculated and tracked by the teacher and ClassDojo. When you have received the correct amount of Gotchas you can cash them in for a prize.
The students and teachers at New River Primary are co-constructing rewards you can cash your Gotcha slips in for.
