Going to a Party

On Sunday we went to a birthday party the person was turning 15 years old.  When they were asleep at 10 o’clock we went to Queens Park.  We saw some pigs, red ear turtles and a dear.  There were two female dear and one male dear.  The antlers on the male dear were big and they looked like wood from a tree.

After looking at the dear we went to the bird aviary and we went to look at the cockatoo.  He says exactly what you say.  We said,

“Hello pretty boy” and he copied us.  When we walked away he said,

“Where are you going to?” and I replied

“We are going to look at some more birds.”

We went into a big place and there were green, red and orange birds.

Then we went home and when we arrived we had our lunch.  My lunch was 3 mousetraps and I shared a big packet of noodles with Jack and it was YUM!  It was a fun day because we got to see lots of different animals.  I really want to go back sometime soon to see the red ear turtles.

The Awesome Cross Country

Yeah, it was cross country.  I could see people running fast.  I could see people coming  with red hot faces.

When I did power walking I came 2nd.  I wanted to come first but Emily did.

The power walkers had to sit  in a circle and cheer for people.  I watched the joggers and runners come in and I was cheering for them.  I had fun on Cross Country Day.

Kowhaiwhai Patterns

My teacher read us a story about family treasures. My kowhaiwhai  pattern has been enlarged-enlarged means zoomed. She brought in her pounamu the pounamu  is green all green. Mrs Rolton  is going to display the kowhaiwhai pattern  the class.

Wow I can't wait till we do our kowhaiwhai patterns in maths time.

In kowhaiwhai patterns there are four things you must remember when you do this - rotation a turn, reflected a flip, enlarged a zoom, and translated a slide.

My family treasure is a korowia cloak because it was very special to my great great uncle.

Our teacher Mrs Rolton read us a story about kowhaiwhai patterns. The story was about kids presenting their patterns.

Once we were finished we displayed our lovely patterns for the class to see.

Rosie The Cow

Last week we went to the hall to see the Rosie the Cow.  

The people in the show were Becky, Matt and Tom the farmer.  

 

They did a FARMTASTIC song together there were lots of people watching and the teachers too hahahahahaha

Kiwi Can

On Tuesday the 4th of June Room 12 left to go to Kiwi Can and we were all so eager to go. 

We stepped our feet inside Kiwi Can and our leaders Max and Amba welcomed us in and we all sat in a circle to start. 

Then we all played 21,  its a counting game but everyone enjoys it, it's a fun game.  After that we played another game but I forgot what it was called that game was fun too. 

When that was finished we went back inside and did GKQ's.  That's when Max and Amba asks us all some questions.  Some of them are a little hard but once we know them you'll know the answers you'll get the hang of it, well thats pretty much it.

In May I went to the hall to see the ROSIE THEATRE.  It was so exciting to see Rosie.  

Should I say Rosie is a super cow.  There were songs and we said the awesome saying the saying is...

Wow what an Awesome session the games and everything we played, 21 it was fantastic.  21 is a maths game, and by the way I won 21 by like 2.  Did I tell you or did you know that if a shark stops moving they will die.

This morning you could see your breath .    Charles drove me and Tyrone in the Go Bus to school. 

 Mrs McGregor accidentally locked her car  this morning so we had to park on the street.  It was grey and cold.

Today with Whaea Jo

Today we  have Mrs Whea Jo.  I think she will be happy and have a fun time with us for the whole day. 

I like how Mrs Whaea Jo always smiles when she comes into our classroom.  She is going to be our reliever for today and tomorrow because Mrs Rolton is going away. 

I predict that we are going to play Ninja Tag, Silent Ball, Swiss Ball and Hand Ball but we actully played Silent Ball and Hand Ball.  

I love planning our writting with her she tells us funny stories.  Lets tell you one story that she told us Room 12 thinks its so cute.

One morning Whea Jo's grandson said to Whea Jo's husband "Koko wheres my iPad today you were suppose to give me an iPad.

One morning when  Whea Jo heard that we were doing the cup song she thought that we could put it up on the active board for everyone to see.

So I put it up on the board and we watched it.  It was very cool.  Its very funny when Whea Jo's in our class relieving while Mrs Roltons away on her holiday!!!!!

Golden Time

At Golden Time I played handball, it was a cool game because people had awesome special moves and amazing skills.  

I could have amazing skills as well like the other handball players.  And it was a cool game because the teacher joined the game.  

After it started raining but we still stayed outside for handball.  Next it was time to go inside because it was time up for Golden Time.

Kiwi Can 

Yeah it was Kiwi Can yesterday which was a great lesson.  We got ready for Kiwi Can.  We played 21 and Hayley won it.  We played game's and we had fun.  Max did GKQ's and Amba did one GKQ.  For the Wow Fact there was one wow fact which was... "A giraffe can not talk because they do not have any talking box", and the other Wow Fact of the week was "If a shark stops moving they will suffocate and die".

In the mysterious fog my Mum drove me to school.  

When I was arriving to school, the sun was on the cold ground and the cloudy fog started going away.

Woohoo yesterday was the day we had Kiwi Can,

Room 12 walked to Kiwi Can and Max and Amba said "WELCOME" to us.

Then we played the game 21, we had to try and beat Amba and Max.

After that we had GKQ's that we always answer at the end of our Kiwi Can session.

Cycle Tour of Southland

The Tour of Southland was today the 2nd November 2010. There was lots of cyclists and they were going fast and slow. I saw Hayden Roulston and he was near the front. Maybe he will get the yellow jersey today!!

In the holidays on Sunday I went to my mum’s house I went to the party at the pub with my mum, Sister, Bob and I, it was fun. I cooked my tea. It was a steak on a grill it was my mum’s friend's birthday party. After we played our games. My mum gave me ten one
dollar coins to play the game but I had to give five to my sister it was a gun game.
Then when we were finished we went back to my mum’s house. When I got home I played
the xbox360 until I got too tired and went to sleep.

My Best Holiday.

BEST HOLIDAYS EVER

In the holidays I went to paint ball on Saturday because it was my friend Bray's birthday. I shot everyone it was AWESOME!!!! The next day my cousin Liam flew down from Christchurch I spent time with him we played wii and ps2 it was cool. Liam stayed for a week. On Sunday Liam, dad, Tayla, Zaya and I went to kidzone there was over 100 things to do it was lots of fun. I liked Lego land and the table games room I liked my first time at kidzone.
