Waimerengi-Watermelon

Waimerengi-Watermelon

Watermelon is like a rock. When you cut it. it sometimes cut like your cutting paper or like cardboard. It’s coloured like a green ball and the best part is eating it. It’s like juicy juice yummy.

IF I WAS A PRIME MINISTER FOR A DAY...

Hi my name is Dezia and this is my speech about if I was Prime Minister for a day.
I would put fruit in all of the schools and build canteens in all of the schools so if people get money off their mum they can buy some food from the canteen oh yeh! I will give something flash to all of the people in the school so they can show off. Hey it’s okay to show off! Last but not least I will give money to the poor so they can go and buy some food and can eat more than just a little bit. All I want to do it make my world a healthy place to live in and build houses for the people that live on the streets so they can have a comfy house to live in. The last thing I am going to do is look in peoples lunch boxes to see if they have junk food because it is not healthy for them but if it’s the only thing they have in their lunch box it’s fine. The next time they come to school they need to make sure they have a healthy lunch box, I will build a theme park for each country to play in but each country will have there own of course and you won’t have to pay a thing. It will be called DD WORLD!!!!!! This is to make other people very happy and others can have F U N that’s right fun!

My New Puppy!

My New Puppy!

On the 2nd Saturday of the holidays Dad, Mum, Emily and I got to take our puppy home to keep.
The woman that sold her to us said it would be too confusing for the puppy to come to our house for a visit, then have to go back to her, before coming to stay at our house for good. Our puppy’s name is Ava Cody Capil. Her middle name is Cody because our old dogs name was Cody and we really miss him. Ava is a German Shepard her favourite toys are her squeaky toys like her rugby ball and duck. Ava also makes me laugh because she barks at the lux and lawnmower when they’re not even on! She has already dug three holes in the front yard. Ava LOVES eating pigs ears like any dog would. Even though she’s naughty at times I really love her.

Murihiku Marae

Murihiku Marae....
A marae is where people can get married and have weddings.

• At the marae you can see Maori art.

• The Wharenui is called Te Rakitoneke.

• Murihiku Marae was opened in 1990.

• There are some patterns on the roof that the kids do when they were at school.

• You have to take off your shoes when you go in it is one of the rules.

• You have to respect their iwi (tribe)

The Tour of Southland was today the 2nd November 2010. There was lots of cyclists and they were going fast and slow. I saw Hayden Roulston and he was near the front. Maybe he will get the yellow jersey today!!
