Kapa Haka Ropu Polyfest

It was truly amazing - He Kakano o te Awa Hou.  Last Friday at Polyfest The seedlings of New River Primary for the first time preformed as a ropu.  Junior and Senior students were outstanding with the support of Simon Kairau, Mrs Brown, Mrs Harden and Mrs Rolton.  Also a big thank you to the parents and grandparents that came back stage to help with our kakahu.  Homai to paki paki koutou :-)

Discovery Time - Dance Around the World - Rugby World Cup

Last Monday at Discovery Time our theme was Dance Around the World - Rugby World Cup.  Because the Rugby World Cup is in New Zealand this year we have themed all our Discovery Time Activities around The Rugby World Cup.  This will help us to understand about the Rugby World Cup, it's participants and countries they come from.

Duffy Books - Role Model Assembly

We had two Senior Students from Aurora College share with us their experiences with reading at our recent assembly.  We are grateful for the Duffy Books we get each year and love to hear older students and authors talk to us about reading throughout the year.

THANKS - Duffy Books :-)
