A butterflys life

First in a Butterflies life there is an egg [in other words a lava] it hatches it is called a caterpillar it eats and grows. A few weeks later it makes a case around itself it is now called a pupa it will stay in its cocoon for along time. It needs time to transform. When it is clear it is ready to come out. It is ready to fly. It will lay its eggs and the cycle will start again.

MONARCHS LIVE LONGER!!!!
Monarchs live longer than other Butterflies because it all depends on when they are born if they are born in spring they live 4-5 weeks if they are born in autumn they live for several months

You have written some very interesting notes on the Monarch Butterfly.
I wonder have you been able to visit the Butterflies at the Otago Museum? People I know who have said they are amazing.
I have seen a monarch butterfly flying once when I visited Christchurch. Not only are they beautiful but they are also big.
